Our Next Big Build
As many of you are aware, the school received a grant of just over $16million to upgrade our school facilities.
Some of you attended a briefing and forum in March, and I’m now pleased to say the architects have returned with some great early plans as a result of the consultation.

Newsletter Issue 4: 25th March 2021

Already our first term is coming to an end. Next week is our last week of school for Term One 2021. I must say it’s been terrific to have everyone back in classrooms. Restrictions are easing, and we hope to be able to make some changes in the near future.
It was wonderful to welcome parents to the information-sharing forum with the architects last week. Many great ideas were shared and the architects are now working to incorporate these into their plans.

Newsletter Issue 3: 10th March 2021

Architects DesignInc are working on plans for the refurbishment of our main building and the addition of a new building (or two). The additions will mean we have a STEAM centre (Science, Technology and Arts).
DesignInc will present at a forum here at school on Monday March 15th at 6.00pm.
Please come along on that evening if you care to contribute, and to find out more about the fantastic funding that our school gained.

Introducing our Young Leaders
Our Young Leaders have started their wonderful work around the school and at assemblies. We are sharing great ideas during our meetings and hope to be able to organise some events this year and get some great environmental awareness happening with the ‘Green Team’.
Introducing our Young Leaders to RPS community, enjoy reading some information they have written about themselves.

$15 million for new facilities

Families in Reservoir have done a phenomenal job in supporting students to learn from home. As kids return to their classrooms, we want to make Reservoir Primary School better than before. And that is why it was so wonderful to be able to announce today that Reservoir Primary will receive at least $15.034 million to provide facilities for an additional 150 enrolments for the 2023 school year.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!  And the end of another school year! And what an unusual year it has been! All students spent time in their new classes on Monday, giving them an opportunity to get to know the members of their new class and of course their teachers.

The sounds of laughter, balls going in all directions, chess games happening, running feet and “oomph” as another goal is scored! It is delightful to be back once again – almost back to normal. The only part we are missing is parent contact. I hope we will be soon permitted to allow parents into school again.
