Welcome again – and on Friday we will be able to welcome our students back into “real” classes. I’m sure they are all looking forward to that – staff members certainly are.
During this recent lockdown, the remote learning appears to have gone extremely well.
We were worried … would our plans for EDUCATION WEEK go ahead?
Thankfully, the Education Department confirmed that we could go ahead with our evening events. It was fantastic to see so many families learning and enjoying “everything Maths”
EDUCATION WEEK is recognised during the week 24th to 28th May. On the Diary Dates below, you can see that we will have two open evenings to focus on how we teach Maths. Teachers will email you and invite you to nominate a time that suits you best.
Our Next Big Build
As many of you are aware, the school received a grant of just over $16million to upgrade our school facilities.
Some of you attended a briefing and forum in March, and I’m now pleased to say the architects have returned with some great early plans as a result of the consultation.
Already our first term is coming to an end. Next week is our last week of school for Term One 2021. I must say it’s been terrific to have everyone back in classrooms. Restrictions are easing, and we hope to be able to make some changes in the near future.
It was wonderful to welcome parents to the information-sharing forum with the architects last week. Many great ideas were shared and the architects are now working to incorporate these into their plans.
Architects DesignInc are working on plans for the refurbishment of our main building and the addition of a new building (or two). The additions will mean we have a STEAM centre (Science, Technology and Arts).
DesignInc will present at a forum here at school on Monday March 15th at 6.00pm.
Please come along on that evening if you care to contribute, and to find out more about the fantastic funding that our school gained.
Introducing our Young Leaders
Our Young Leaders have started their wonderful work around the school and at assemblies. We are sharing great ideas during our meetings and hope to be able to organise some events this year and get some great environmental awareness happening with the ‘Green Team’.
Introducing our Young Leaders to RPS community, enjoy reading some information they have written about themselves.
Welcome everyone
Welcome to our returning families and those who are new to Reservoir Primary.
I trust you all had a lovely break and your children are ready for the school year ahead. The students seemed very happy to be back at school with their friends again.
Compass Our school uses Compass as our Parent Portal to make communication easy, quick and clear. We will regularly send you information about what is happening for your child. Among other things, this portal allows you to add your own child’s absences, download their academic reports, read the latest from your teacher and access newsletters…
